WOS WRESTLING WEEK 1: RE-REAWAKENING!

After the Triumphant Pilot 2 Christmas ago, World Of Sport is back on British Television! We had waited 3 decades, 18 months is nothing!

We open with General Manager Stu Bennett (Wade Barrett) with an announcement in the ring. He says the age of clowns and professional idiots is over....only to be interrupted by WOS British champion, Grado!

After a tense handshake, Grado says despite not being in shape, he has being a fighting champion for 537 days! Bennett grins and is happy to hear that because the first match will be a 5-way number 1's contender's Elimination Match and it starts...Next Paragraph!

NUMBER 1 CONTENDER'S MATCH
RAMPAGE BROWN VS GOBSHITE FROM LOVE ISLAND! VS SHA SAMUELS VS JUSTIN SYSUM VS CRATER
The match begins on the ramp as Sysum, the lone Face, is jumped. But Crater, the Superheavyweight overwhelms everyone. Maxted pushes Crater to mug for the camera, and gets choked in the ropes for it! Maxted must have left his brain where he left the 5star wrestling tag belt! (and yes that's my one per show!) And Crater gets Dqed for nothing breaking the choke on the count of 5.
CRATER IS DISQUALIFIED!

After Crater pulverises everyone in his wake! The first up are Sha and Justin, and Sha body slams "Superhuman", while Rampage follows up with an Elbow, rampage and Sha Irish whips Sysum but he counters with a double clothesline that makes Rampage falls out to the arena floor, Crossbody on Samuels, followed by a clothesline, rollup gets a second pin
SHA IS ELIMINATED

Flex Maxted is back in, charging Sysum, Danielson Flip on the corner, Sysum and Maxted exchange dropkicks, until Maxted is outside. Suicide dive by Sysum, but his foot gets tangled and all 3 men are out. the ref makes a 10 count and Sysum gets in first but behind him Rampage is dragged by Sha as Sysum's hand is raised!
THE MATCH IS DECLARED A NO CONTEST!
...However GM Bennett declares that the 1st main event of WOSW will be a triple threat match for the British Championship! Sysum and Brown are co-contenders!

Will Ospreay vs British Bulldog Jr. was a fantastic back and forth match, but it felt like Bulldog got the win for a sense of Nostalgia than anything else!

In the Back, Rachel Stringer revealed the WOS tag belts which will awarded to the winners of the tournament starting next match. she is interrupted by Kip Sabian and Iestyn Rees, who stake a claim to the Belts!

Iestyn Rees and Kip Sabian defeat Joe Hendry and Martin Kirby, after Kirby walks out and turns heel after Hendry accidentally knocked Martin down. Good, 1st week and you are building storylines!

3-WAY MATCH FOR THE WORLD OF SPORT BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP
JUSTIN SYSUM VS RAMPAGE BROWN W/ SHA SAMUELS AND CJ BANKS VS GRADO (C)

Dropkick by Sysum on Brown, who walks into a Bionic Elbow by Grado. Sysum gets clowned by Grado. But Banks and Samuels attacks Sysum as he runs the ropes. Grado on the apron, he hits the Roll N Slice and takes out everyone. Brown and Grado back in, Shoulder tackle by Brown. Vertical Suplex by Brown, followed by a German gets 2. Flying shoulder tackle by Sysum, Who eats Grado's Wee Boot, Sysum in the Corner, Roll N Slice gets a 2 count, Rampage attacks, R. K. GRAD-O By Grado, his new finisher! Gets 2! Sysum Up, knocks The champ out, "Superhuman" ascends the ropes, 450 Splash onto Grado, Rampage throws Sysum out of the ring before the pin, DDT BY RAMPAGE! AND GRADO'S 2 YEAR REIGN IS OVER!

WINNER AND NEW WORLD OF SPORT BRITISH CHAMPION: RAMPAGE BROWN!

Next week's episode, all the fall out from the title change, plus a 4 way ladder match, the 2nd qualifier for the tag belts and the main event the crowning of the first ever World of Sport Women's champion. That review will be next Tuesday, due to the bank holiday!

WORLD OF SPORT WRESTLING ROSTER REVEAL

With a week to go until the world of British Wrestling is reborn Next Saturday, On Wednesday, the Final Roster was revealed....and I only know Half of these people! But considering how long Wrestling on a grass roots level had to walk through the dessert, that was a given! A new Generation of Fans will be made next week.

So Tady I will be giving my Opinions on the roster, in the order they were announced..and THIS! is who we reveal First?

GOBSHITE FROM LOVE ISLAND!
If you remember 6 months back to my tweets about the short-lived shambolic run of 5star wrestling, That I had nothing nice to say about Adam Maxted, For those who know my work, I am very vocal about certain people who start on Reality TV shows and turn to wrestling to stay relevant! The Limit was his return home to Belfast when he was Tag champion...and FORGOT to bring the belt with him! So yeah the argument of him not giving two fecks is there!


After being the Surprise entrant in the battle royale for the WOS British championship on new years day 2016, the Son of the Late legend returns from Japan to carve his own legend!


The 1st superstar of the contingent from Scotland's Insane Championship Wrestling, Kay lee was the only female finalist in the second series of British Bootcamp. A mixture of Hardy boyz style high-flying and hearts and guts toughness, she will be one to look out for.

 
Also from ICW, The "Prestigious One" Joe Hendry, Member of this year's Scottish Commonwealth Wrestling team, Former Judo Black Belt, Former Commentator for 5star has all the tools and the talent. However thanks to his world famous parody entrance videos made on 70% of the talent, and his new Prestigious attitude, means he probably won't have much friends on the roster!

On the same day Hendry was announced, They revealed the Commentary team Starting with Head commentator and General Manager....

STU BENNETT
The former Wade Barrett will be Colour Commentator and Authority figure for the Brand. It also means if some heel tries to push his buttons, it will be "Bad News" For him!

The Only American on The Roster, "So Cal" Is back in her familiar role as backstage announcer, and all I keep hearing crap about "why is there an American in my British Wrestling" and "She's just a placeholder, any skank can hold a microphone"...She was Hired cause it's HER JOB! Wrestling is a machine and people sometimes hire people from outside their circles...IF THEY ARE GOOD AT THEIR JOBS! Also Val was a Producer for Impact, are you saying that a women can't be a producer, or a women can't be talented and good looking at the same time?

Despite Many complaining at the time (myself included!) that Rampage only got through to the finals of tna british boot camp 2, because he is friends with then Judge Samoa Judge. But I realized, how wrong i was when i saw how HARDWORKING! this man truly is!

I Find it very strange they waited til 13 announcements to reveal that the BRAND'S CHAMPION! was on the Roster! Still Grado is back where he truly belongs...IN A COMPANY THAT KNOWS HOW TO BOOK HIM PROPERLY!

Viper, known as Piper Nevin to wwe fans, Rounds up the 4th spot of the 5 women divsion

But it's not Quantity it's Quality,
Viper has being to Japan, competed for wwe and tna contracts, she recently had a documentary about her, giving her more exposure than any of the male talent, Simply put she could have gone anywhere, like Ospreay...and she chose to go home!

He was the "Anarchist" now he is the "Ambassador".
What can be said about Doug Williams that hasn't being already said? X division Champion, tag champion, a workrate that would put the younger boys on notice, and he has the rare ability to pull 5 star matches out of anyone!

For all the complaints that 5starwrestling had, one thing that gets overlooked was BT Gunn's match with Matt Riddle, where he lost the Tap Or Snap Championship in what can only be called the year's first MOTY Candidate back in February. It was a loss, but you can't over look this Technical Powerhouse!

From New Generation, Comes Yorkshire's own Liam Slater, The 6 year veteran likes to Party thanks to his finisher, the Venga Boy Buster!

At 19 years old, Gabe is the youngest roster member, however, in indie circles already respected.

Yet another ICW Original! The East end Butcher (no really he is Butcher in his side hustle!) has tagged and fued with everyone in icw. He has wrestled in Germany and the rest of Mainland Europe and has the rep of being a tenacious and dangerous man!
